CIF
AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND
Welcome to our website.
We hope you will find something of interest here, whether you are interested
in learning more about Aotearoa and our programme, or about programmes
offered elsewhere in the world. There is much to be gained by having
this international experience. Friends are made, understanding is deepened,
and knowledge is shared. We learn that in spite of our differences,
and the way we practice Social Work, the essence at the core of our
profession is the same wherever we live, and that is what unites us!
He nui tonu ngā hua ka puta i a koe e whakaaronui ana kia rere tāwāhi atu. Heoti anō, he ahakoa ngā rerekētanga o te Tauwhiro Tangata, ko te kaupapa kē tātou e whakakotahi ai.
CIF Aotearoa/New
Zealand is a non-profit, Charitable Trust established in 2003, and is
a National Branch affiliated to CIF International. We also have links
with CIPUSA.
CIF exchange programmes
have the following objectives:
• To share
professional knowledge in the field of human services, in particular
social work, and to learn from one another
• To promote
tolerance, understanding, and peace among people from different countries
and cultures
The programme is
a unique opportunity for social workers to travel to a different country,
while viewing it through a social work perspective. It provides experiences
of local family life, agency visits or placements, and interaction with
social workers from around the world. CIF Exchange Programmes offer
participants a way to further their professional development in an international
context. There is time to learn, reflect on practice, form friendships
and experience difference.
